Established in 1889 as a fishing port, Steveston is located in the southwest corner of Richmond at the mouth of the south arm of the Fraser River. Steveston Village offers the unique feeling of small-town lifestyle within the Greater Vancouver area.
Historic Steveston Village is the commercial and cultural hub of Steveston and is centered around the intersections of Moncton St and No. 1 Rd. Neighbouring the village are the MLS-defined areas comprising Steveston South, Steveston North and Westwind. These are confined south of Williams Rd and generally west of No. 2 Rd, though also include homes extending east of No 2 Rd along the south dyke of the Fraser.
